Benefit Freedom of Movement All Included

NLbloedneusMonday July 11th 2016, Benefit Freedom of Movement All Included, Volkseten Vegazulu, 7pm.

All Included is a small campaign organization in Amsterdam that struggles for free migration and sustainable development. We support the migrants’ movement that fights for their rights.

The current developments on the EU-borders demonstrate the power of migration that breaks the illusion of Europe as an island of equal rights, civilization, democracy and welfare(state). We support the migrants who come to our borders and welcome them. The EU has always pretended to be in control of the border security without degenerating into a Fortress Europe. Given the large numbers of migrants entering ‘irregularly’ today, the EU broke out in panic while portraying migrants as a threat and migration as a crime. The repressive EU-deal like the one with Turkey is not new. Other buffer states such as Morocco, Libya, Mauritania, Senegal have had to sign those deals in the past where migrants, irrespective of flight pattern, are kept outside the EU. Human rights are violated outside the EU in return of a bag of money. The war against immigrants is just more visible now because it is clear that the EU cannot control the migration at its borders. We support migrants breaking through borders and confronting the image of the EU as an tolerant civilization. The EU is pressuring African states to stop migration threatening with stopping development Aid: the Velletta agreements. We say: Open Escape Routes! Stop Deportations! Our African friends are resisting these deals: http://www.allincluded.nl/posts/actie-landgrabbing-office-du-niger-in-mali/

All Included is involved in Afrique-Europe Interact, a partnership between African and European grassroots organizations that support free migration and sustainable development. Contacts are mainly in Western Europe (Mali, Togo, Burkina Faso, Senegal) and North Africa (Morocco, Tunisia). Themes are deportation, freedom of movement, land grabbing, corruption. All Included is also active in Watch the Med http://www.watchthemed.net/) and Alarm Phone (http://alarmphone.org/en/), a 24-hour emergency phone for those who cross the Mediterranean. Undocumented migrants in Amsterdam are where possible supported by All Included.

What’s included?

All Included Amsterdam is a new initiative that fights for freedom of movement and for the right of residence for migrants. In a time when globalization is a fact, migration should be recognized as part of a package deal. It’s All Included. This means: no illegality, no detention for undocumented migrants and no forced evictions.

With the disappearance of national borders, national identity disappears. Everyone becomes global citizen and deserves regardless of origin equal rights and equal opportunities. Therefore also for migrants ‘all included’ rights and obligations.

Allincluded.nl fightsg for an open society through extra-parliamentary action which intervenes in the political climate of assimilation, closeness and fear. Through direct assistance to rejected asylum seekers and other migrants without residence permit, indictments against abuses of current polities are being propagated. We want to contribute to the public debate with alternative visions of migration and globalization based on open borders, solidarity and initiative from the base.

Voku Benefit We Are Here

we_are_hereMonday July 4th 2016, Voku Benefit We Are Here, Volkseten Vegazulu, 7pm.

We Are Here is a self-organised refugee action collective.
Refused refugees living on the streets of the Netherlands struggle for life. Since 2007 the asylum policy in the Netherlands started to change. Refugees who have been rejected are no longer entitled to basic rights such as shelter and food. Even when it is impossible to return to their countries of origin, the Dutch government argues that they can leave voluntarily. Denying them access to reception centers, putting them in prison and forcing them to survive in parks, railway stations and insecure hiding places, that is the way to convince them to leave this country. On European level the asylum policy also forms a problem for refugees. Most people of We Are Here are not allowed to stay in The Netherlands, cannot go back to their own country, but can also not move to another European country, due to the Dublin II agreement.

This self-organized action by the refugees has highlighted a humanitarian problem that has been growing for years and was hidden from the public eye. Now these people have made themselves visible and seek solutions by entering in dialogue with civil society and democratic representatives. To realize their aims they need to be together, safe and visible. In the mean time they inform the Dutch citizens about their situation, do political lobby and demonstrate for their rights. http://wijzijnhier.org/ […Lees verder]

The ‪Dunkirk‬ refugee camp (Dunkirk, France) has been a temporary home to around 3000 refugees since October 2015. The camp is predominantly Kurdish (mainly from Iraq, but also Syria and Iran). Most refugees are trying to cross over to Britain. Dunkirk is facing a sanitary and humanitarian crisis. There is loads of mud and a severe lack of facilities, electricity, running water and building material (not being allowed into the camp by the police). All Included Amsterdam for freedom of movement, the right of residence for migrants and fair development, is taking part in the action in Rabat/Morocco commemorating the 2nd anniversary of the massacre of Ceuta of the 6th of February 2014 when the Guardia Civil shot at least 15 sub-saharan migrants on Tarajal beach trying to reach the EU. “We are activists from collectives, associations, initiatives and various social movements. We fight for freedom of movement for all! We are from Cameroon, Syria, Mali, Eritrea, Senegal, Spain, Germany, Tunisia, Morocco, France and many more countries. We don´t accept any more deaths in the Mediterranean. We know it is possible to ‘live together’ and to consider a political system of equality and respect for human rights, because we have been building solidarity networks for years. The happenings on the 6th of February 2014, when the Spanish Guardia Civil killed at least 15 persons, who entered swimming to Ceuta, are not only spanish or morrocan issues, they are global issues. So, we united us in a common transnational struggle for the demilitarisation of the borders, the freedom of movement and global justice.”

JUSTICE AND FREEDOM OF MOVEMENT!

VluchtBus Benefit

Thursday February 4th 2016, VluchtBus Benefit, Volkseten Vegazulu, 7pm.

Vluchtbus_Chios_3VluchtBus is a solidarity bus that runs to several border areas to support refugees. They are currently out in Chios, Greece working with refugees to provide food and other supplies. They are also busy with an autonomous centre that has been squatted and are in the process of fixing it up. The refugee crisis at the moment means demand is very high and that their limited funds are running out quick. The local NGO’s and GO’s have supplies to hand out and to help refugees at the border, but due to the tense situation and their protocols, they are not willing to do it themselves. VluchtBus helped local private initiatives to hand out these supplies. Come on down to Joe’s Garage on Thursday 4th for some top notch dinner as every penny helps or if you can donate here are the banking details: Bank account name: Vluchtbus, account no: NL06 INGB 0007 1702 49  https://vluchtbusweb.noblogs.org

Vluchtbus update from 22/01/2016
On January 20th, two vluchtbussers have joined the other vluchtbussers on Chios, the team now consists of four people. The property that is squatted, is currently the base from which is working a collective of approximately 15 people, including Vluchtbus. This collective has taken it upon himself to serve breakfast every morning. Although the building is not yet ready to really open to go for refugees and there is still busy chores. Other cooking groups will provide the lunch and dinner. In addition, there is no organisation to distribute the food so it is crucial that there are groups of people to cook and distribute it around. Delivering aid to an ever changing refugee crisis
The Mission: An ever changing and chaotic refugee crisis calls for a flexible approach, therefore we are combining an extensive experience of mobile kitchens and providing food, with our ability to reflect on what is needed, where and when.
Thousands of people are stuck around various borders in unsupported makeshift camps, so far the winter has been forgiving, but undoubtedly that will change.
We are based on voluntary work depending on donations, but we need help, especially financial support to cover transport costs and food supplies. http://aiddeliverymission.org/

Vluchtkonvooi Benefit

20160107_Vluchtkonvooi_BenefitThursday January 7th 2016, Vluchtkonvooi Benefit. Volkseten Vegazulu, 7pm.

Who are we? We are a group of individuals from Amsterdam, united under the name Vluchtkonvooi. Since september of this year we have organised several trips to the southeast of Europe, in order to help stranded refugees on their way to their end destination. We are all from various backgrounds, but we agree on the fact that in this context of crisis, we need to engage with everyone who needs help. We’re curious about the people we will meet on our convoys. What are the stories of the refugees we meet? How can we pass these stories on to European residents, so that people will choose to welcome them? While lending a hand, we’re trying to find answers to these very important questions.

What We Do? As a refugee convoy, our aim is threefold. First, we will be bringing humanitarian aid supplies to stranded refugees coming to Europe. Second, we will be providing logistical help along their often harsh journey. Third we will provide help to voluntary groups locally. In doing so we hope to provide a small sense of relief and a feeling of being welcome in Europe.

Volunteer– Our work consists of short-term direct help on the places it is most needed. We therefore cannot say exactly when we will come into action on forehand. However, since we are a small organisation, we depend fully on volunteers to make our missions possible.

20151029_Open_Discussion_benefit_dinner_Migrant_rights_in_the_MediterraneanThursday October 29th 2015, Open Discussion and benefit dinner: Migrant rights in the Mediterranean. Volkseten Vegazulu, 7pm.

Migrants coming to Europe flee conflict, brutal political regimes, poverty, and fear. Many of them are harmed on the way either by state or non-state actors and thousands die. What is Frontex and what role does it play in the Mediterranean? What can we do?

Let’s try to find the answers together.

Taste Before You Waste will prepare the dinner, which will be served with a kindly donation for Médecins Sans Frontières (Doctors Without Borders), treating newly arrived migrants in Greece.
