ASEED Europe (Action for Solidarity, Equality, Environment and Diversity Europe) is an international campaigning organisation which targets the structural causes of environmental destruction and social injustice. The organisation consists of mainly volunteers and is always in need of support.
Right now we are busy with mobilising the public and organising
gatherings and actions on two issues: seeds and the TTIP
(Transatlantic Trade and Investment Partnership; an evil free-trade
agreement between the USA and the EU that is currently being negotiated).
What is the link between these topics? It is very simple: we fight for
people´s right to decide what kind of food they want to produce and
eat. This starts with the seeds that are available for farmers and
gardeners to sow. The TTIP would have severe consequences for
>griculture as it is designed to suit corporate interests. Large
agrochemical and seed companies (Monsanto, BASF, Bayer and Syngenta to
name a few) can use it to open European markets to genetically
modified and patented seeds.
Help us raise awareness about food sovereignty and come to meet us on
Monday for a delicious vegan meal!
Volkseten Vegazulu is a people’s kitchen, every monday and thursday, 19:00 PM, vegan food for 4€ or donation. All benefits go for social & political struggles. No reservation.
We’re always looking for cooks. Any help is welcome in the kitchen. Experience not required. Enjoying it is a must.
